In the MCS RI spirit of transparency and connectedness, rather than sharing standard bios for each member of our staff, we asked our community two questions that speak to who they are and why they do what they do.

We’re excited to share we’ve also made the collective decision to name our classroom after activists of inspiration. In doing so, we are further embedding in our classroom structure a deeper purpose: to empower children to make change in the world. We hope that in uplifting these activists, and in having these activists be a daily presence in the children’s lives, we are building reverence for those who have worked, and continue to work, to make our world a more equitable and loving place.

My favorite thing about Montessori is the way each child is allowed to direct their own learning according to their interests, while being gently guided by their teachers. I love seeing how excited the children are to come to school!”
